This 4th of July, we slept in and spent the remainder of the day relaxing. We decided not to fight any traffic to travel to see fireworks. However, the Sidaways scoped out a hill near our house that had a spectacular view of all our surrounding communities, including: downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise, and Peoria. Brian and Kristin's family rode their golf cart to the top of the hill and we rode our bikes.
The video footage didn't come out well, and we couldn't hear the fireworks. Some even appeared close enough to be within our community, but we think those were private. There were a few other cars that pulled over in the street to enjoy the display with us. Surprisingly, no coyotes joined us.

We watched the fireworks from Lone Mtn too! I hope it stays fairly undeveloped so we can make that a neighborhood tradition! Happy 4th!

We had a good time and loved not having to worry about the traffic. Next time, I can bring snacks and maybe we can have margaritas. :)
